발음이 비슷한 문장이나 단어를 붙여 읽는 것을 영어로 잰말놀이라고 한다. 빠르게 낭독하는 연습을 통해 영어 발음을 개선할 수 있다. 

먼저 천천히 낭독해본 후, 속도를 높여 빠르게 읽어보자. 잰말놀이를 정확하게 발음할 수 있을 때, 연속으로 두세 번 더 낭독해보자, 비슷한 단어들의 발음 차이를 느낄 수 있을 것이다.
